Back in Seattle this week 1st dinner. Trying the Lemongrass Rockfish this time with the egg rolls as appetizer. Fish is grilled just right, not dry. - Egg rolls are good! - Lemongrass Rockfish: Not enough lemongrass, should add more. I had to add fresh chilly pepper to get a kick. Side tamarind soup goes well with this dish.
The ambience is lovely and the restaurant is modern. Their menu has traditional Vietnamese dishes with some modern takes also. I ordered the oxtail pho, the meat was very good and tender. The broth was on the sweeter side for my taste though. I wish they used a bigger bowl to serve it in though. Became there was a lot of noodles and not enough broth. The service is just okay. Overall the food here is decent.
Really enjoy this festive Vietnamese restaurant at South Lake Union with friendly staff, delicious cocktails, and tasty menu options. For drivers, street parking can be challenging but there's plenty of garages. Closed Sundays! The owners are very supportive of community, which is 5/5.
We love this restaurant! Wonderful and delicious flavors, inviting atmosphere and the staff is accommodating and attentive! We always make it a point to enjoy a meal at Babar when we visit Seattle! Can't wait to go back!
I was staying in the area and stopped here to grab dinner. I sat at the bar and really enjoyed the food, drink & service! I had the Old Phosion to drink and was a little concerned about the taste of the Pho fat (but also intrigued). Turned out great, as did the food! Th environment is great to sit and eat with others or solo at the bar as I did.
I come all the time because I work and live in the block. I was surprised to see it with only 3.5 stores so I placed a review to level it up. Key menu standouts include: Pho Hanoi , the wings, beef vermicelli, and Thai ice coffee.
High quality and tasty Vietnamese food, with a number of vegetarian options. It's a little on the pricey side--I'm used to Vietnamese being on the cheaper side--but the quality is high (and the food's really yummy!), and they have a pleasant ambiance. One reco: if arriving for lunch, get there before noon. They're really hopping with all those Amazonians after. And bring your phone! Menus are online. I ordered the Pho GA, or Chicken Pho. Really tasty, with tons of fresh ingredients. A colleague of mine ordered their vegetarian vermicelli, which looked really tasty and which she really enjoyed. I also had their fresh brewed ice tea, which was good.
